The Bluebird.

Last weekend my mom and I headed out to Logan for a family funeral.
It started to snow like crazy the day of the funeral (of course), but I have to admit the graveyard
was just beautiful with all the trees covered in snow.
Although the funeral was bittersweet, it was fun to catch up with extended family that I haven't seen in YEARS.

After the funeral we ate at The Bluebird, which is a little old cafe and coke shop where my grandpa and his brothers would always go as kids.
I could not get over thecute old fashion candies and the vintage look of the cafe.
I unfortunately couldn't eat the good comfort food it offered or buy anything from the candy bar,
but at least I know where to go next time I'm in Logan! ;)

Thankful.

This year we spent Thanksgiving with three other Texas families up in snowy Deer Valley. 

It was so fun celebrating this holiday with family and good friends!

We ate lots of good food, watched some football (go cowboys!), slept, ate some more, had a little talent show, celebrated some birthdays, and chatted until it was time for everyone to depart. 

Along with watching football, shopping, skiing, and eating, we made our way over 

to Temple Square were we saw the all the Christmas lights! 

I always love it there this time of year... nothing is more magical.

Bring on the SNOW.

Today was the first day of skiing this season!

While everyone went shopping for Black Friday, my dad, brother and I decided to go down the slopes.

There were no lines, and although it was a little chilly and snowy it was perfect!

Nothing like welcoming winter with a little skiing at Park City.

This weekend I celebrated my cousin's wedding with good friends and family.

The Bride and Groom were glowing, and I couldn't be more happy for them.
I always love watching two people so in love...
I unfortunately didn't take any pictures, but once I get my hands on some I'll be sure to post a few.

The wedding was absolutely beautiful and of course the food was divine.

(I may or may not have taken a whole plate of cookies with me...)

Red lips.

A few weeks ago I took a little trip to Colorado to spend some time with my family. 

While all the boys were at the Texas/BYU game, the girls were in Denver (where my sister lives) playing and having fun.
We stayed up in Breckenridge and enjoyed the beautiful scenery as we hiked and strolled around the little towns.
It is always nice to be able to get away to spend time with family, especially when I get to see this lady:

There is never a dull moment with her...
One second she is dancing around the room, the next she is off talking to some stranger for hours and hours.
She is the queen of all things that taste and look good.
(I get my red lips from her.)

I feel so lucky to have her in my life...
She really is amazing.

Happy Easter!

Just got back from a weekend trip to Denver, and man does it feel good to finally be DONE!

Although finals ended for me Thursday, I had to fly out to Denver to present the jcpenney campaign. 

Unfortunately we didn't win, but I was so proud of how it went and the final product of our campaign. 

I also got to spend Easter Sunday with my sister and brother-in-law, which was such a treat.

We made homemade waffles with homemade whipped cream and 

strawberries, sausage, and freshly squeezed orange juice. 

It was all so good, and I am so glad I got to spend Easter with family.

Just got back from spending the last few days in San Antonio visiting family.
It was so good to see cousins and both grandparents!

Tis' the season.

Christmas has got to be the best holiday ever.

I just love spending this time of year with family and friends, thinking of our savior, 

and eating lots of good food.

This year we spent Christmas Eve at our cousins, which of course included the traditions of eating Mexican food, acting out the Nativity, and singing Christmas carols around the piano.
