Every time I go to the airport (which has been a lot in the past year) and go through security, the first thing I do before I go to the gate is find the bookstore. I don't know why, but the airport is probably where 80% of my books are from... weird? I think so.
Over Christmas break, I was running late for my flight that was leaving Dallas to fly me back to good ol' Utah. When I rushed to drop off my bags at check-in, I realized that I left my computer bag in the car (and of course, my mom had already left and did not have her cell phone on her...) Let's just say that due to poor planning on my part, I missed my flight and had to reschedule to get on the next plane that would leave 3 hours later. Now, most people would be upset that they have to spend 3 hours in an airport waiting for their flight to leave, but not me. I was THRILLED! I was thrilled because it meant that I could now go to the bookstore, take my time browsing around, and hopefully purchase one to start reading. My mom even offered to come pick me up to go get lunch (we live like 10 minutes away from the airport.... yeah, I don't know why I was late either...), but I gratefully declined the offer just so I could start reading my new book, Little Bee.
Due to the many textbooks I have had to read for school, I haven't been able to pick it back up since recently (which is weird, because the past 2 weeks have probably been the craziest for me thus far).
But almost every week I am finding more and more books I want to read, so I am determined to finish this one asap. I am about 3/4 into it, and so far really enjoying it. I'll keep you folks posted on what I really think of it once I am done.
For those of you who are curious, this book is next on my list and is sitting on my shelf waiting to be read:
I have heard so many good things about it, so I am excited to get started on it soon!
