Celebrating 100 years of fashion.

I found this video on another blog and loved it so I thought I'd share.
I'm not sure if I'm obsessed with the fashion, music, dancing, or the fact that it was filmed in London.
Doesn't this just make you want to get dressed up and learn this dance?

Hope everyone is excited for the weekend!
It's gonna be a good one.

Mary Poppins.

Last Thursday I got invited to go see the Mary Poppins Broadway show with my good friend Brittany and her family. With so much going on and with so much on my mind lately, it was exactly what I needed. Mary Poppins was one of my FAVORITE movies growing up, and the show was better than I expected. The music, the dancing, the costumes—it was all so amazing! And what better person to have gone with than the girl who I just adore? It was probably one of the best nights I’ve had in awhile… and all thanks to her!

On my drive home I got stuck in some traffic (and when I say some, I mean 2 hours worth), which of course left my mind and thoughts to race. I realized that in all the uncertainty of my life right now, there are a few things that remain constant: the gospel, my family, and my friends. It’s amazing to think how each one of those things has influenced my life. Even though there is uncertainty, there are still a lot of exciting things going on right now, and I can only think that it is because of those constant things that I have been able to be where I am at today.
I’m happy and thriving, and life is good.

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!

Wedding of the year.

(my hair is green... thank you iphone.)

This was probably one of the most beautiful weddings I have been to.
(pictures just don't do it justice...especially when taken on my phone.)
The weather was just right, and the setting couldn't have been more perfect for this fall wedding.
It was so fun to celebrate Catherine and Preston's special day with good food, friends, and lots of dancing!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Wallis!

Red lips.

A few weeks ago I took a little trip to Colorado to spend some time with my family.
While all the boys were at the Texas/BYU game, the girls were in Denver (where my sister lives) playing and having fun.
We stayed up in Breckenridge and enjoyed the beautiful scenery as we hiked and strolled around the little towns.
It is always nice to be able to get away to spend time with family, especially when I get to see this lady:

There is never a dull moment with her...
One second she is dancing around the room, the next she is off talking to some stranger for hours and hours.
She is the queen of all things that taste and look good.
(I get my red lips from her.)

I feel so lucky to have her in my life...
She really is amazing.
Love you Karma Rae!

Sister sister.

This post is a little late, but I am so excited to announce that my cute friend Lindsay has been called to serve in the
New Jersey mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!
I couldn't be more thrilled for her and I know she is going to make a great missionary.

Love you Linds! You will be missed!

Quote of the day.

“I hope someday you will have a longing that seems to wring your soul where you hit a wall that seems insurmountable. If your duty lies beyond that wall, do not stand back and say, ‘I cannot do it.’ You may want to do it, but wanting is not sufficient. You must ask God for power. Then you must be willing to exercise your faith and do everything you are able to do. “You can walk from where you stand, up to the wall. When you get there, and you have gone as far as you can, you will find in answer to your prayer that there is a hidden ladder by which you can scale it, or there is a door which you could not see from where you were first standing. God’s hand is shown. He will help you. All good things require effort. That which is worth having will cost part of your physical being, your intellectual power and your spiritual power. ‘Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.’ But you have to ask, you have to knock, you have to seek.”

Today I am grateful for...

Becca and her amazing baking skills.
Every Sunday this girls wips up a new cookie recipe, and lucky us we get to be the first to try them!
She is quite the chef and I just adore her.

Love you Becs!

Never forget...

On this 10th anniversary of 9/11, may we never forget those who have fallen and those loved ones they left behind.

God bless America.
