Hello London.

It is here.

I can't believe it!

I have only been here for 4 days and I am already in love.

My first weekend in London was amazing. Here is a little taste of what I did.

I got to the UK and all checked in on Friday. My family is still in town until Tuesday, so after I got all unpacked, I headed back out with them to do some site seeing. Later Friday night the girls and I went over to Boots (which is a main drugstore that you see everywhere here) to pick up some necessities and to become familiar with the area by the BYU center.

Saturday my roommates and I went to the tube station to pick up our oyster passes to begin our adventures for the day. We went to see the changing of the guards at Buckingham palace, went to Harrods, and ate some yummy Laduree macaroons on the steps of a London flat. It was perfect.

That evening I met up with my sister, mom, and grandma. We went to the Jubilee Market at Covent Gardens and I loved it! The square and streets were filled with little food stands that offered free tastings, and had people performing magic tricks, singing, and painting/drawing. It was so fun, and I will definitely be going back.

Sunday was a great day. All 35 girls and faculty took a 40 min walk to get to church. It was so hot (the hottest day of the year so far), but we walked through Hyde Park (which is right by the BYU center), so it went by pretty fast. Church was amazing. We went to the Hyde Park Ward, and the talks were so inspiring and uplifting. The ward was very diverse and I loved meeting and talking to the members.

Can't wait for another great week!

(Sorry for the lack of pictures lately. I forgot my camera cord and have been trying to find one. I will be posting them soon!)

  1. off onto your adventures!! i am so happy you are having such a great time already and can have this opportunity to spend the semester in london. i am sure it will be life changing. the times in my life that i was able to get away and reflect on who i am and the person i wanted to be were amazing. it was during those times that i really gained a testimony for myself, made personal commitments to never settle and strengthened my relationship with Heavenly Father. i hope this will be a time of your life you never forget!! have a wonderful time! looking forward to following your fun!

  2. I just stumbled on your blog and am SO happy about it! I am excited to read and hear about all your adventures. I'm so jealous that you and Sallee get to be in London. I feel like I should hop on the next plane and sneak in 27 palace court.. just an idea!

    Miss you cute girl!!!
