One month and counting!

Just got back from a little weekend trip to NYC.
I flew out to do my last round of interviewing, and of course to see this guy!
I have one more month until I'll be calling this place home.
Let the countdown begin!

Anddddd I'm back!

Like I said in my previous post, I've been on quite the traveling kick lately!
I am constantly getting asked by people if I am still in school, and the answer is YES.
With this being my last semester, I am only taking 3 classes so it's been pretty easy to take time off or to find time to make these little trips.
My job is also pretty flexible so I figured I might as well take advantage of the free time I have before I face reality.
I have so many pictures from my adventures that I want to share with you, so I will probably break it up into two posts.

A few weeks back I got to go out to New York once again for a long weekend.
The trip was both for business and personal pleasures, so all around it was a fantastic little get-away.
With graduation coming up (yikes) I've been interviewing and meeting with a few agencies
in New York, so I'm hoping to have something set in stone come May/June.
I also got to see a few friends that I just ADORE.
We basically spent our time eating at the most delicious restaurants and sampling every single cupcake at Crumbs.
Let's just say my pants got a little snug towards the end of the trip...

MLK in NYC.

For the long weekend I had the chance to make my way out to the big city.
It was once again a fabulous trip.
The cold weather made it a perfect excuse to brush up on my art history, as I spent most of my time in a few museums.
Admiring Monet in the Metropolitan brought back so many memories of living in London...
I think I could seriously spend all day every day in that museum.

I didn't take as many pictures this time around, but here are a few to give you a taste of what we did...

Hope everyone had a lovely MLK weekend!

Christmas in the city.

Last weekend I had the chance to take a quick trip to New York City.
I feel like it's already my second home as I have traveled out there a few times this semester.
When I go I always have the days planned out on exactly what I want to do, where I want to eat, what I want to see... this time around was a little more relaxing, but of course still did a ton!

For those of you who have never been to the city during the holidays, I definitely recommend it!
There is nothing more magical than ice skating around the Rockefeller Christmas Tree, smelling the fresh pine trees that line the streets, and drinking hot chocolate after the wonderful Nutcracker Ballet.

It was such a fun trip and was just what I needed before I dive into finals!

A Year in New York.

Today a friend from New York sent me this and I cried.
If you watch it, make sure to watch it fullscreen with the sound up...
Hopefully you'll get a glimpse of what I feel for this place.

Home away from home.

I have been back from New York for less than 24 hours and already I'm having withdrawals!
It was a fabulous long weekend spent with good friends doing great things.
The weather was beautiful, the food was divine, the walking was refreshing, and the company couldn't have been better.
Let's just say the trip was a success (for many reasons) and was definitely needed and appreciated.

Being back in the city felt more like home than ever before... and I think it's a sign.
There's something about that place that makes me thrive and I'm already eager to get back.
Luckily I had the chance to visit some ad agencies, so keep your fingers crossed!
There are some good things in the works.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

From East Coast to West Coast.

Sorry for the lack of posts lately!
There has been so much going on that I haven't had a chance to blog very much.
My mom came out to spend my last week in New York with me, so I have been busy playing tour guide.
Even though we had a whole week to explore the city, we STILL didn't get to do all that we wanted to do!
It seriously amazes me with how much there is to do in New York.

Here is a taste of what we did:
Patsy's Pizza
Brooklyn Flea Market
Staten Island Ferry and Statue of Liberty.
Anything Goes! Best musical.
Antique shopping.
Shake Shack. Delish.
Top of the Rock. Best view of the city!
Brunch at Clinton St. Baking Company. Love love the blueberry pancakes!
Sunday I packed up all my belongings and said my goodbyes to my life in the city.
It was very bittersweet, but I'm excited to get back to my normal routine of things.

Monday morning my mom and I jumped on a plane and headed out to California for about a week before it is time for me to go back to Utah.
It has been so fun spending time with her and traveling around...
We have visited so many places and have ate some amazing food-- such a shame it is all going to end!

Hope everyone is enjoying their week!

All good things must come to an end.

It's true.
All good things must come to an end.
I have exactly 1 week left in the city, and I am definitely feeling bittersweet about it.
For so long I was looking forward to this experience and now it is slowly coming to an end.
Seriously, where does the time go?

(the beautiful sunset on my evening run)

Even though endings can be sad, I'll be leaving with some great memories and great friendships.
I have learned so much while out here and can only be grateful for this experience.

I really couldn't have asked for a better summer.
