Music, jewels, and markets.

So as I mentioned in my previous post, this week has been pretty busy. Along with our numerous field trips, we had 3 papers due and not very much down time so bear with me with these random posts.

Thursday night we got to go to a concert at St. Paul's Cathedral. The London Symphony Orchestra and Choir performed Beethoven's 9th Symphony. It was truly amazing! To hear the Ode to Joy played in this magnificent cathedral with the amazing acoustics was an experience I will never forget.

Friday we woke up early and went to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. We took a tour to see The Crown of Jewels and walked through old prisons in the tower. Definitely a site to see. After, we made our way over to the Portobello Market in Notting Hill. It was fun to see all the little antique shops and bakeries and will certainly be going back!

Cheers!
